Eight people were caught cheating on the theory test to get a driver’s license during the year, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration’s overview shows.

“Our goal is for no one to be killed or seriously injured in traffic. Therefore, we work actively to detect cheating to ensure that drivers have the theoretical knowledge needed to travel safely in traffic,” Lill Tove Amundsen, department director at the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, stated.

The Norwegian Public Roads Administration states that some people brought a mobile phone into the room, took pictures of the test for later use, wrote down questions and answers during the test, and/or brought a cheat sheet.

Two cases were reported to the police. In one of the cases, one person tried to take the test for someone else, while another person used a mobile phone and earphones. One of them was caught cheating for the second time.
