Eastern Norway: Man in his 50s sentenced to ten years of preventive detention in relation to a gang rape case

A man in his 50s has been sentenced to ten years of preventive detention in a district court in Eastern Norway in relation to a gang rape in 2018. Another man has also been sentenced to prison.

The newspaper VG writes that the minimum sentence period for the man sentenced to preventive detention has been set at six years and eight months. 

According to TV 2, the man is appealing the verdict. Another man in his 50s has been sentenced to two years in prison.
