Eight people lost their lives in traffic in October, bringing the total for 2021 up to 79.
In October, five drivers, two car passengers, and one motorcyclist lost their lives in traffic – seven men and one woman.
So far this year, there has been an increase in the number of drivers and car passengers who died in traffic compared to last year, Bård Morten Johansen, senior adviser at Trygg Trafikk, stated in a press release.
“Unfortunately, too many human lives are lost in traffic. We are still a long way from having zero fatalities and serious injuries in traffic,” he said.
