A woman in her 70s was transported to the hospital on Friday morning after being hit by an electric scooter in the center of Kongsberg. The extent of her injuries is not known.
The driver of the electric scooter, a man in his 40s, appeared to be intoxicated, the Southeastern Police District announced.
The man appears unharmed, according to police.
The police stated on Twitter that they were notified of the accident at 7:54 AM.
“We got a report of a traffic accident. An electric scooter that supposedly hit a pedestrian. Emergency services are on the way,” the police wrote shortly after the report came in.
