All employees at Equinor Mongstad in Alver and Austrheim have been evacuated after a diesel leak at the plant. No one has been injured.
“I do not know the scope, and I do not know the amount at the moment,” operations manager Steinar Hausvik in the Western Police District told NTB.
The leak is related to a pump or pipe, according to the operations manager.
Both the police and the fire brigade are on site. Efforts are being made to control the leak, the police say.
The police were notified of the incident at noon on Thursday.
