The EU has decided to tighten sanctions against Russia and Belarus as a result of the Russian aggression on Ukraine.

The decision means, among other things, that more Russian oligarchs and officials will be affected by sanctions.

The EU will also tighten control over money transfers in cryptocurrencies and impose new sanctions on Russia’s maritime sector, France’s EU delegation explained in a Twitter message on Wednesday.

The 27 member states have also given the go-ahead for the exclusion of three Belarusian banks from the Swift global payment system as a result of Belarus’ support for the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

You think Covad had a negative effect on the world economy. I don’t think we have seen anything yet on what this goat-rope is going to do to the world.
