The European Medicines Agency (EMA) says the third dose of Moderna’s corona vaccine can be given to people over 18 years of age at least six months after the second dose.

In a press release, the EMA wrote that data show that a booster dose of the vaccine given six to eight months after the second dose leads to an increase in antibodies in adults who have declining levels of antibodies.

This is the second vaccine that the EMA recommended for the third dose, according to Reuters.

In early October, the Norwegian Medicines Agency stated that a third dose of the Pfizer/BioNTech corona vaccine could be offered in Norway.
