After another record of infection cases in the capital, Minister of Health Bent Høie (H) warns that even stricter measures may be necessary.

On Tuesday, 223 new cases of corona infection were reported. That is 39 more than the average the week before.

“The figures show the seriousness of the situation and that there was a need for the strict measures that were introduced last week, as well as the measures that the City Council announced on Tuesday,” Høie told TV 2.

“It is urgent to reverse the development in Oslo out of consideration for the situation in the hospitals in the Eastern part of Norway and to be able to reverse the development nationally,” Høie said.
