Infection control doctor Frode Hagen in Oslo says that all the capital’s citizens have been offered the first dose of the corona vaccine.

“Everyone for whom the Municipality has contact information has been given the opportunity to book an appointment if they want the vaccine,” Hagen told Avisa Oslo.

Hagen strongly encouraged people who have not heard from the Municipality to get in touch.

The proportion of those over the age of 18 in Oslo who have been either partially vaccinated or fully vaccinated is now 84%.

Oslo started drop-in vaccination earlier this week to ensure that as many young people as possible take the vaccine.

From next week, Oslo could have a surplus of vaccine doses. Some doses could be sent to other municipalities, but it can also mean that vaccination with dose two could start earlier for some Oslo citizens.
