-”We have a common responsibility to prevent this from happening again.”, said Prime Minister, Erna Solberg, under the memorial service at the Al-Noor Mosque in Bærum.

-”The attack on the mosque and the tragedy that happened were two unacceptable and meaningless events. We will, together, remember and continue with the important work that everyone has to do to make Norway a free and safe society for all people.”, Solberg said.

It was on Monday one year ago when Philip Manshaus killed his step-sister and attacked  the Al-Noor Mosque in Bærum. He was overpowered and the step-sister was the only victim.

The 22-year-old was sentenced to 21 years in prison for the crimes, with a minimum of 14 years.
