Over the next two weeks, 140,000 vaccine doses will be administered in Oslo. By July 19, everyone over the age of 18 will be vaccinated with the first dose, Oslo’s health councilor promises.

By week 29, the penultimate week of July, everyone over the age of 18 will be offered a vaccination appointment, Health Councilor Robert Steen (AP) told newspaper Dagbladet.

“I think soon we can talk about the corona as something that was, and not something that is. It will be great,” Steen said.

By week 30, everyone must receive at least the first vaccine dose, the department stated on Friday.

During the coming month, approximately 280,000 doses of the corona vaccine will be administered, of which 200,000 are the first dose and 80,000 the second dose.

Oslo is among the few selected municipalities that have received more vaccine doses since the beginning of June. The 25-year-olds in the capital will be offered the vaccine last.
