External experts have been called in to contribute to the evaluation of the end of the mission in Afghanistan that the Danish government plans to carry out.

Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod announced the information on Friday.

“Everyone demands an answer as to why the West’s and Denmark’s exit from Afghanistan became so chaotic. Therefore, we have implemented a very thorough, comprehensive, and factual evaluation of the Danish evacuation effort,” Kofod said.

The external group will play a key role, according to Foreign Minister Kofod.

“All the group’s comments will be reflected in the authorities’ mapping and evaluation,” Kofod added.
