Family man from Tolga killed by car bomb in Somalia

A man from Tolga in Hedmark was among those killed after a car bomb exploded in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu, last week.

The man was among at least eleven people killed when a car bomb exploded outside a hotel in Mogadishu on Thursday wrote Aftenposten newspaper. 16 people were injured in the attack.

The father from Tolga had been in Somalia to visit his sick father according to Arbeidets Rett news, who first mentioned the case.

The man has lived in Tolga for many years. The municipality launched its crisis team on Friday morning. Councillor Siv Stuedal Sjøvold in Tolga, informed Aftenposten that the municipality had not received information about the death from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the police.

The man leaves his wife and several children at Tolga.
