A man is in the Oslo District Court on charges of having exercised violence against his four-week-old daughter.
According to the indictment, the father violently shaked or beaten her daughter in the head, or both, written by NRK news. Girl child got collarbone fracture, a fractured skull and permanent brain damage and will probably be totally in need of care for the rest of her life, it goes up by the indictment.
– My client denies culpability. He will give a full explanation in court and answer every question, said the man’s lawyer, Thomas Randby.
Parents were first detained at Ullevål Hospital in early January, charged with domestic violence. The mother has since changed explanation and is now only charged with having failed to seek immediate medical care for her daughter.
It took over a day from the time that baby girl was exposed to violence till the time that parents asked for medical help.
The father has been in custody since January. Case is scheduled in Oslo District Court on August 29th.
