Ferry between Norway and the Netherlands to start transporting passengers in April

From April, Norwegians will be able to take the ferry to the Netherlands again, as Holland Norway Lines is starting up the route between Kristiansand and Eemshaven.

The company stated in a press release that the ferry could transport 1,500 passengers and 350 cars. It will take 18 hours on the trip between the two ports.

The ferry will depart every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday from Kristiansand. It will depart from Eemshaven on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

It is expected that the company will initially create 50 new jobs and 100 jobs in the long run.

“We will also recruit Norwegian personnel, both on the ship and on land in Kristiansand,” Bart Cunnen, CEO of Holland Norway Lines, stated.

The company will have an office in the port of Kristiansand. The first trip from Kristiansand to Eemshaven is scheduled for Friday, April 8.
