In the last week, eight people under the age of 30 have been admitted to Norwegian hospitals with coronavirus, the latest weekly report from the National Institute of Public Health (FHI) shows.
According to the report, there is an increasing trend in new admissions in all age groups between 30 and 79 years.
The report indicates that corona patients are getting younger. In week 10, eight corona patients in the age group 0–29 years were reported.
In the same week, there were 20 new admissions in the age group 30–39, twice as many as the week before.
In total, there have been 385 new hospital admissions with COVID-19 as the main cause in the last four weeks. The median age among the inpatients is 55 years, and 63% are men.
