More than 60,000 people in Norway have so far taken three doses of the corona vaccine. A lot of people who belong to vulnerable groups should take advantage of the offer, according to the FHI.

“Every week, we see that more of those with severely weakened immune systems take the 3rd dose, and that is very good.

“At the same time, we believe that some have either not received the offer, or have not had the opportunity to take the third dose of the corona vaccine yet,” chief physician at the National Institute of Public Health (FHI) Sara Viksmoen Watle stated.

Those who are now offered a third dose of the vaccine are people who are extra vulnerable to the infection, and the extra dose of the vaccine will increase the chance of better protection for this group.

In the last 24 hours, 748 corona infection cases have been registered in Norway – 392 more than the same day last week. On Thursday, 121 corona patients were hospitalized.
