If the number of vaccine doses administered in Norway next week matches the number from this week, Norway could reach its goal of having 90% fully vaccinated adults by the end of week 36 or the beginning of week 37.

The current figures show that 475,000 doses were administered in Norway in week 34, the newspaper VG writes.

FHI’s chief of infection control, Geir Bukholm, estimates that only 300,000 doses would be administered during this week, even though 1.1 million doses were sent out.

“If the same number of doses is administered this week and next week, we will reach the goal of 90% fully vaccinated people aged 18 and older at the end of next week (week 36) – possibly at the beginning of week 37,” he said.
