A 68-year-old man died on Monday from the injuries he sustained in an electric scooter accident at Vollebekk in Oslo on Saturday.

The police confirmed the information to Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK).

The man was critically injured after an accident on a pedestrian and bicycle path. He was transported to Ullevål hospital.

“He had major head injuries, and his life, unfortunately, couldn’t be saved,” section leader Knut Nandrup at the police in Oslo noted.

The police are now looking for witnesses to find out how the accident happened and are asking those who were in the area on Saturday around 1:30 PM to get in touch. The accident happened on Statsråd Mathiesen’s road.

“We know little about what happened; there were no witnesses to the incident,” Nandrup said.
