On Friday, slippery roads and snow created problems in several places in Southern and Eastern Norway. In Oslo, five cars were involved in an accident. One person has been injured.

“One person is injured. He felt pain in his legs and was transported to the Oslo emergency room,” operations manager Lina Odden in Oslo told NTB.

Østre Aker vei in Oslo was closed for a period of time while the police were on site, but it has now been reopened.

On Twitter, Oslo 110 Central writes that the five cars involved in the accident have run into each other from behind.

Slippery roads and large amounts of snow

Slippery roads have been in Southern Norway and parts of Eastern Norway. On Twitter, the Oslo Police District encourages everyone in Oslo, Asker, and Bærum who must drive today to be mindful of the weather and road conditions.

“If you can leave the car at home today, do so,” they suggest.

The Agder police ask people who plan to drive to follow the Norwegian Public Roads Administration website for road reports.

“Both Vegtrafikksentralen and our patrols report a lot of slippery roads in the entire district,” they noted on Twitter on Friday.
