Five new corona cases registered in Bodø in the last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, five new corona infection cases have been registered in Bodø. A total of 90 people are in isolation, and 300 are in quarantine.

“We are in the middle of the biggest outbreak since the start of the pandemic, but we have a good overview,” municipal chief physician Kai Brynjar Hagen in Bodø Municipality said at a press conference on Monday.

So far, around 6,000 vaccines have been administered, the Municipality stated.

The Municipality has already introduced anti-corona measures, including stopping private gatherings and events.

Sports halls, swimming pools, and gyms are also closed. An alcohol-serving ban has also been introduced.

These measures will apply until March 11. The Municipality will discuss whether these measures will be continued at a later point in time, according to Mayor Ida Maria Pinnerød (AP).
