On Monday, Moss Municipality received confirmation of five new corona infection cases. It was also confirmed that the five people in question were infected by the British virus variant.

Two of the infection cases can be linked to Nordre Follo and three to the outbreak at Østfold Kalnes Hospital, newspaper Moss Avis writes.

“It is not unexpected that several of the corona infected-people in Moss have been diagnosed with the mutated British coronavirus variant.

“Infected people in Moss are known to have a connection to both Nordre Follo and the outbreak at Kalnes,” municipal chief medical officer Kristian Kroghus in Moss told the newspaper.
