There will be a risk of floods in Western Norway and landslides in Southern Norway on Thursday, the warning service varsom.no reports.

“Over the next five days, large parts of Western Norway will receive well over 100 millimeters of rain, and the very wettest places can get close to 200 millimeters,” the Meteorological Institute wrote on Twitter.

The danger of flooding is at a yellow level in Western Norway, according to varsom.no.

“There is uncertainty about where the most intense precipitation will hit,” forecast states.

In Southern Norway, precipitation will lead to an increased risk of landslides and floods along rivers and streams. The danger warnings last until Friday morning.
