On Thursday, 18 corona-infected patients were hospitalized in Norway – the lowest number since September last year.

According to the Norwegian Directorate of Health’s overview on Thursday, four of the patients are on respirators, and eight are in the intensive care unit.

The last time so few people were hospitalized was on September 25, 2020, when 19 people were admitted. Since then, the number has been stable at well over 20 people.

Since February last year, 133,720 people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus in Norway, Thursday’s preliminary figures from the national reporting system for infectious diseases (MSIS) show.
