Forcibly merged municipalities and counties can now apply for dissolution
The Norwegian government has sent a letter with important deadlines to forcibly merged municipalities and counties. They can now apply for dissolution.
The deadline is March 1, 2022.
The letter contains important information about deadlines and the process ahead, the government stated on Friday.
The municipalities and county municipalities that plan to submit an application must study what the dissolution would mean for the inhabitants, Minister of Local Government and District Affairs Bjørn Arild Gram (SP) stated.
