When the Oslo police took action against an apartment in Oslo avenue in October last year they found a refrigerator with a total of 58 kilograms of amphetamines, the newspaper Dagbladet writes.
The seizure was one of the largest in the country last year. Four people have been placed in custody. All of them deny culpability.
– The reason it is stored in the refrigerator is usually that amphetamine is a moist mass that evaporates a at normal room temperature, police attorney Jens Johannes Andenæs said to the newspaper Dagbladet.
The police also found six plastic bags full of MDMA pills.
– The police found the apartment through investigations made after finding the key on an Albanian two weeks earlier. He was arrested because he was expelled from Norway and therefore was not allowed to be in Norway, says Andenæs.
The four who were detained in the case are all Albanians and all are imprisoned, because of the danger of them trying to evade their prosecution and possible sentencing. One of them was extradited to Norway from Macedonia at the end of June this year.
