No injured people were reported after a fire in an apartment complex at Hjemseng on Nøtterøy on Thursday night, but all the apartments were completely destroyed.

The fire broke out in a building at Smidsrødveien in Færder Municipality.

“The sad fact this morning is that all the apartments are completely destroyed,” fire chief Tor-Atle Jakobsen wrote on Twitter at 7 o’clock Thursday morning.

“Hard work has been done to prevent the fire from spreading to two neighboring buildings and the boat center. The heat threatened a semi-detached house, where the windows cracked. Strong efforts from the crews prevented further damage,” Jakobsen said.

No injuries reported

The police were notified of the fire just before 3 o’clock on Thursday night.

The police informed on Twitter that everyone in the apartment complex had been accounted for and that no injuries had been reported.

The entire apartment complex burned down, and work is being done to provide shelter for 16 people.
