The police in Bergen have charged four men with gang rape of a woman in the Bergen area last weekend.

The rape is said to have taken place in connection with a party on Sunday, July 11, the newspaper Bergens Tidende writes. The men have been arrested this weekend but were to be released on Sunday.

“The police have done a lot of work in the case and now believe that there is no longer a risk of evidence being lost,” on-duty lawyer Rune Malt told the newspaper.

The newspaper has been in contact with the lawyers of three of the accused.

Lawyers Ole-Petter and Carl-Christian Grythe Hoff say that their clients do not admit criminal guilt in the case. Lawyer Eirik Nåmdal did not want to comment on the case on behalf of his client.
