After a man in his 40s was attacked by eight other men in Skien on Friday night, the police arrested four men and put them in custody.
On Friday night, police in the city tried to get an overview of the reason for the attack on the local man at 20:40 PM on Friday. The eight attackers were visitors from the Oslo area.
“It is not good when eight people attack a person. An ambulance arrived at the scene, and the injured were assessed on the spot,” operations manager Merete Kvaal in the Southeastern Police District told NTB.
She did not want to comment on whether any of those arrested are so-called “old acquaintances” of the police.
The eight will be questioned on during the weekend.
