France fears that the worst part of Russia’s war against Ukraine has not yet begun.
“I think it is possible that the worst is ahead of us,” French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian told France 2 TV on Thursday morning.
He says it looks like the Russian forces are now pushing for a siege tactic after the initial expectations of a quick victory were weakened by Ukrainian resistance.
Among other developments, the coastal city of Mariupol has been surrounded by Russian forces in recent days.
