On Wednesday morning, the Meteorological Institute issued a danger warning for freezing rain in Trøndelag.
Freezing rain is a rare type of liquid precipitation that strikes a cold surface and freezes almost instantly.
“On Wednesday, there is a danger of local ice in Trøndelag due to freezing rain. The raindrops will be able to freeze into ice on the ground, as well as on vehicles and other objects,” the warning states.
So far, there have been no reports of serious accidents on the roads in the area.
