The coming week will be characterized by the risk of freezing rain in large parts of Southern Norway. The Norwegian Meteorological Institute has issued a yellow warning.

There will be a local danger of rain freezing on the ground in Oslo, Innlandet, and large parts of Viken from Monday morning.

The meteorologists’ danger warning is valid until Friday, January 7.

People are asked to be extra careful when going outdoors because the ice can be difficult to see.

The freezing rain can also lead to difficult driving conditions in some places, so motorists should be extra careful.

“Use the right tires and drive according to the weather and road conditions,” meteorologists warn.
