On Friday morning, no cancellations were reported as a result of the aircraft maintenance engineer strike.

SAS, Norwegian, and Widerøe reported no canceled departures as a result of the strike on Friday, according to NTB.

The situation may change throughout the day, but the airlines have this week stated that passengers who have not been notified that their flight has been canceled can show up as normal.

The strike among the aircraft maintenance engineers is on its seventh day. It started last Saturday. A total of 106 technicians have so far been taken out on strike, and the strike is scheduled to be stepped up this weekend with another 39 people.

In addition, NHO has announced a lockout from Sunday, which means that 450 NFO aircraft maintenance engineers are refused to come to work – including the ambulance flight service in the north.
