From Friday, the police will be allowed to expel foreigners who refuse to test themselves at the border or register before entry, newspaper VG writes.

Minister of Justice Monica Mæland (H) believes that the changes are necessary to prevent cheating.

“We do not accept that people cheat their way into the country. We are now establishing an even stricter regime for those who do not want to register before entry and for those who refuse to test themselves at the border.

“This is a clear signal that we will crack down on cheating,” Mæland told the newspaper.
