Mail delivery to be delivered every other day comes into effect on The 1st of July.
– Digitization and falling letter volumes are among the reasons for a reduction in the number of distribution days, writes the National Communications Authority (Nkom).
The change means that the mail will be delivered every other day in a two day cycle: Monday, Wednesday and Friday one week, and Tuesday and Thursday the second week. Newspaper delivery will still take place six days a week, until 2022, and mail in stores will be open as before.
