Frontal collision: Two people die in Tromsø traffic accident
Two people died in a frontal collision on the E8 in Lavangsdalen in Tromsø on Sunday night. Six people in three cars were involved in the accident.
“A person has been flown to THE University Hospital of North Norway (UNN) by an ambulance helicopter,” Troms Police District informed on Twitter.
The accident happened around 7:00 PM.
First aid was administered at the site, and an effort was made to release a trapped person from a vehicle.
Witnesses told newspaper Nordlys that the accident happened not far from where five people died in a traffic accident in January of 2011.
