Customs officers in Troms stopped three German tourist anglers with a total of 752 kg of fish fillet in luggage. Each tourist can bring 15 kg fish out of the country legally.

The fillets equals 2.500 kg non-gutted fish, writes TV2 news.

– It is the largest single seizure of fish fillet we have done in our region, said control chief Tom Olsen in Customs Region Northern Norway. The seizure was made in a random check on the  toll office Helligskogen-Kilpisjärvi, which is on the border between Norway and Finland. The value was 60.000 kroner, and the fine came to be 75,000 kroner.

According to the control boss, 2000 kilograms of fish that have been attempted to be smuggled by foreigner anglers, have been seized so far this year in Troms and Finnmark.
