All EU countries will begin with corona vaccination from December 27 if the vaccine is approved on Monday, Germany’s Minister of Health Jens Spahn stated.

The goal of the coordination is to show unity, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on Wednesday.

The approval date for Pfizer and Biontech’s vaccine was accelerated this week following pressure from Germany.

Germany wants the EU to keep up with the United States and Britain, which have already approved a vaccine and started vaccinating the population.

The date for the start of vaccination in Norway has not been decided, according to the National Institute of Public Health (FHI).
