Good news: Less than 50 corona patients admitted to Norwegian hospitals for the first time since October

For the first time since October 28 last year, the number of corona patients admitted to hospitals in Norway is under 50. On Friday, 47 corona-infected patients were hospitalized.

Friday’s total of 47 is eight patients fewer than Thursday’s, figures from the Norwegian Directorate of Health show. Eleven of the patients are on respirators, and 16 are in the intensive care unit.

In the last 24 hours, 210 corona infection cases have been registered in Norway, 53 of which have been registered in Oslo.

In the last seven days, an average of 208 corona infection cases has been registered per day in Norway. For the capital, the average is 68.

Since February last year, 127,676 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus in Norway, according to Friday’s preliminary figures from the national reporting system for infectious diseases (MSIS).
