An agreement has been reached in the budget negotiations between the Socialist left Party (SV) and the government parties (AP and SP), Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) and NTB report.

The three parties will present the agreement in the parliamentary groups this afternoon, NRK writes. The SV will hold a group meeting digitally, sources told NTB.

The budget talks started on Monday, November 15. After two weeks of negotiations, the parties reached an agreement.

The three negotiation leaders Eigil Knutsen (AP), Sigbjørn Gjelsvik (SP), and Kari Elisabeth Kaski (SV) have emphasized that there has been good progress and a good tone. But from time to time, it has become clear that the talks were not progressing very fast.

Little is known about the issues that have created headaches for the parties during the negotiations. The negotiations have taken place as the electricity price crisis and the corona crisis dominated the news in Norway.
