On Saturday afternoon, there was so much demand on the corona phone in Oslo that several people could not get through. Efforts are being made to improve capacity, according to the municipality.
“There has been a very large demand in the last week – a significant increase from before,” says Communications Manager Christian Ekker Larsen at the health service in Oslo municipality to NTB.
On Saturday afternoon, the demand was so great that many did not even get into the waiting queue. Instead, they received a text message advising them to check if they can get an answer to their query from the municipality’s website.
“We are working to improve capacity. We are also in the process of putting in place an online registration form for those who are to be tested. Then they will be contacted by the municipality about the time and place,” says Larsen.
