FrP-senior member Carl I. Hagen believes it is natural to consider whether Siv Jensen should continue as party leader now that the party is out of government.

Hagen mentions the FrP (Progress Party) exit as an opportunity to “rebuild FrP,” according to TV 2.

“It would not be unnatural to discuss the composition of the leadership. Siv has made a huge effort. She got the party into government, but now the party is out of government. That there is a discussion about a new beginning to create excitement, is natural,” says Hagen.

He points out, among other things, that the party had the support of 30 per cent when he resigned as leader, while the party today is around 10 per cent.

Siv Jensen has been clear that she wants to continue as leader. Deputy Terje Søviknes has also told TV 2 that Jensen’s position in the party is solid.
