The local authorities in Hammerfest Municipality have decided to extend the lockdown in the Municipality, with some exceptions, until June 20.

In the last 24 hours, 16 new people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Hammerfest, Mayor Marianne Sivertsen Næss stated at a press conference on Friday morning.

A total of 130 people are isolated with COVID-19 in the Municipality, and 200 people are in quarantine. According to the Mayor, 10% of the corona tests are positive.

“We have relatively good control, but the situation is still unpredictable,” Næss said.
