Two people who drove down a cliff on the Hardangervidda plateau early Monday morning have been arrested and charged with drug-related crime.

The police seized pills in the car, and the newspaper Bergens Tidende reports that the seizure is significant.

The car drove off the road at Litlastølshallet on national road 7, and an acquaintance of the two people alerted the police. The two were conscious but cold when rescue crews arrived at the scene. The car had fallen 10-20 meters down a steep slope.

“I can confirm that two men in their 30s have been arrested and charged with drug-related offenses,” police attorney Jan Christian Alvheim at the Western Police District stated.
