For the first time one of the heads of the Norwegian Church will take part in the Oslo Pride on Saturday. Christian Democratic Party leader Knut Arild Hareide will also show his support for gays in the parade.

She does not deny that she expects that there will be reactions to this.

– As the head of the National Council I have be in the parade. There is no doubt in my mind. This is a moral obligation for me, she says.
KrF leader Knut Arild Hareide also believes it is both natural and important to participate in the parade. It is the first time a KrF leader is attending a gay parade in Norway.

–  In 2016it should be unnecessary to show that you are against violence and hate crimes against gays. We should have come further than that in our society . But unfortunately, we haven’t.

The incident in Orlando shook us all. Participating in Oslo Pride parade this Saturday, I will show my support, he says to Dagen.
