The first snow of the season has arrived at the Haukelifjell mountain pass in Telemark. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration also reports snow on Sognefjellet on Monday morning.

The Norwegian Public Roads Administration issued a warning to motorists who plan to cross the Haukelifjell mountain via the E134.

“Drive carefully and remember to put on winter tires,” the Norwegian Public Roads Administration stated. The snow has also fallen on county road 55 over Sognefjellet.

The Norwegian Meteorological Institute has issued a yellow danger warning for snow in the mountains in Southern Norway.

“From Sunday evening until Monday evening, snow showers over 1000-1200 meters are expected. Locally, 5-10 centimeters of snow can fall in the western areas,” the institute wrote.
