The Norwegian Directorate of Health and the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (FHI) recommend the use of face masks by both passengers and drivers in taxis throughout the country.

Thus, the health authorities strengthened the national recommendations for taxis.

The goal is to protect both passengers and employees from coronavirus infection.

In Oslo, face masks in taxis became mandatory two weeks ago, and several municipalities around Oslo followed up with the same measure.

Now, it is also recommended for the rest of the country, but local guidelines and recommendations may deviate from the national guidelines.
