Health Director Bjørn Guldvog: Still necessary to have some corona measures in place
Norway will face a powerful omicron wave in the coming weeks, and this is not the time to remove all restrictions, Health Director Bjørn Guldvog stated on Saturday.
“We are now entering a phase where we must eventually ease the measures and return to a normal situation. However, we believe that a number of measures are still needed because we will face a strong wave in the coming weeks,” he told TV 2.
He noted that the framework that the Directorate of Health adheres to when it gives advice (to the government) is that it is important to stay in control of the situation so that the health service is not overloaded.
