Minister of Health Bent Høie (H) says that there will be winter holidays this year and that it is okay to travel, but only in Norway.

On Friday afternoon, the government will hold a press conference to explain the corona situation in Norway and the prospects for the winter holidays.

“There will be winter holidays, and it’s okay to go on holiday in Norway. But this year you must not go abroad on winter vacation. I know that many… have immediate family abroad, but as it is now, it would be contrary to the government’s travel advice,” Høie told Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK).

He pointed out that the risk of becoming infected (aborad) is higher and that there is a danger that the rules for travel may be changed while people are traveling.
