A prognosis for the development of the Coronavirus shows that Haukeland could receive a maximum of 200 admitted patients, and the peak which is expected at the end of July – August.

The forecast assumes that society will remain closed today, writes Bergens Tidende.

With schools, kindergartens, businesses, still closed and home offices, and quarantine, the number of inpatients with Covid-19 should never exceed 200 patients. Haukeland has capacity for more than twice as many, writes the newspaper.

– “I find that the measures implemented seem to have an effect,” says CEO Eivind Hansen.

The forecast was prepared by Helse Bergen, Helse Vest ICT and Stavanger University Hospital and is referred to as a supplement to the public health institute’s projections.
